Arena Pharma (ARNA) Announces $250M Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARNA) today announced that it intends to offer and sell, in an underwritten public offering and subject to market and other conditions, $250,000,000 of its common stock. All of the shares are being offered by Arena. In addition, Arena intends to grant the underwriters of the offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of its common stock offered in the public offering. There can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
BofA Securities, Citigroup and SVB Leerink are acting as the joint book-running managers for the offering. Credit Suisse and Cantor are also acting as book-running managers for the offering. JMP Securities and Needham & Company are acting as co-managers for the offering.
The shares of common stock described above are being offered by Arena pursuant to a shelf registration statement filed by Arena with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that became automatically effective on February 27, 2020.
