Semtech (SMTC) Tops Q1 EPS by 3c, Revs Miss

Semtech (NASDAQ: SMTC) reported Q1 EPS of $0.44, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter came in at $143.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $145.52 million.

• Q1 net sales increased 10% Y/Y and 3% Q/Q
• Q1 non-GAAP net sales increased 14% Y/Y and 5% Q/Q
• Q1 GAAP operating margin increased 180bps Q/Q and non-GAAP operating margin increased 290bps Q/Q
• Record quarterly net sales for the Wireless and Sensing Products Group
• Repurchased approximately $10 million or 300,000 shares of stock
