Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) Misses Q2 EPS by 6c; Comps Fell More than Expected

Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) reported Q2 EPS of $0.87, $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.93. Revenue for the quarter came in at $998.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.05 billion.

Comps down 23.6 percent, est. down 20.6 percent.

Guidance:

For 2016, management expects the following:

• 220 - 235 new restaurant openings
• An effective full year tax rate of approximately 38.6%
