Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk said Model 3 orders have surpasses 180,000 in 24 hours. The average selling price was around $42,000, bringing the daily total potential sales to around $7.5 billion, Musk also said.

Shares of Tesla are up over 3 percent on Friday's session.
