The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has elected to hear Samsung's appeal in its design patent case versus Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL).
The SCOTUS noted the item on its orders in pending cases today, which has been embedded below.
While Samsung agreed to a $548 million settlement last December, the company also retained all rights to obtain reimbursement from Apple
hence the appeal to the Supreme Court.
Shares of Apple are up 0.8 percent.
