M/I Homes (MHO) Misses Q4 EPS by 16c

M/I Homes (NYSE: MHO) reported Q4 EPS of $0.43, $0.16 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.59. Revenue for the quarter came in at $468.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $425.46 million.

• Average home closing price increased 12% to $360,000
• New contracts increased 16%; year-end community count increased 17%
• Backlog sales value increased 34% to $569 million; backlog units up 25%
