Saudi Arabia's Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is backing Jack Dorsey as Twitter's (NYSE: TWTR) next CEO.
Reuters said Monday that Alwaleed believes Dorsey will bring continuity to Twitter and would support him if he planned to become permanent CEO.
The news comes in conflict with a Financial Times report over the weekend, which quotes Alwaleed as saying Dorsey shouldn't be CEO due to his other commitments.
Shares of Twitter are negative in early trading.
