Facebook (FB) Active Users Continue Lower as Monthly Visitor Numbers Remain Firm - GWI

GlobalWebIndex (GWI) is out with more Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) analysis Wednesday.

The firm took a look at overall traffic trends versus active usage over th last several quarters. While the percentage of Internet users outside of China that visit Facebook has been constant at about 73 to 76 percent since Q213, the percentage of active users within a calendar month has fallen from 53 percent to 42 percent.

GWI doesn't get into too many details with its latest blog post, though it does offer a free report on the data. Survey questions included: "Which of the following websites/services have you visited in the past month?" and "Which of the following services have you used or contributed to in the past month using any type of device?" The age demographic was users 16 - 64, excluding China.
