Sprint Corp. (S) Retains Spot as Third-Largest U.S. Wireless Carrier Amid Intense Competition

Sprint (NYSE: S) has seen some pressure from competition over the last few years, but remains the number three wireless carrier in the U.S.
ZDNet said Tuesday that Sprint ended Q115 with 57.14 million total U.S. wireless connections, while T-Mobile (NYSE: TMUS) ended the period with 56.84 million.
Notably, Sprint added 1.2 million net connections in the most recent quarter, while T-Mobile had 1.8 million total net additions.
Amid the numbers, Sprint is trading 1 percent lower Tuesday.
