Jay L. Schottenstein

Mr. Schottenstein serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of DSW (NYSE: DSW). He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in March 2005. Mr. Schottenstein became a director of DSW in March 2005. He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Retail Ventures (NYSE: RVI), American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE: AEO)and SSC since March 1992 and was Chief Executive Officer of Retail Ventures from April 1991 to July 1997 and from July 1999 to December 2000. Mr. Schottenstein served as Vice Chairman of SSC from 1986 until March 1992 and as a director of SSC since 1982. He served in various executive capacities at SSC since 1976. Mr. Schottenstein is also a director of American Eagle Outfitters, Inc., and Retail Ventures.
