Janney Montgomery Scott upgraded Boyd Gaming (NYSE: BYD) to Neutral. PT from $8.50 to $9.50.

JMS analyst says, "The miss was largely driven by the results in Atlantic City, where the market as a whole continues to be under pressure. The weakness in Atlantic City was somewhat offset by strong results from the Central Region segment, which once again was the standout segment for the company. Separate from the EPS report, the company also announced the sale of Dania Jai-Alai for $80 mln in cash. We view this sale as a positive surprise for shareholders, as BYD was getting no credit for owning the asset."
