Instil Bio Inc. (NASDAQ: TIL) announced that its subsidiary Axion Bio Inc. has discontinued clinical development of AXN-2510 and terminated its license and collaboration agreement with ImmuneOnco Biopharmaceuticals (Shanghai) Inc. (HKEX: 1541.HK).
Under the termination agreement, all rights previously licensed to Axion have reverted to ImmuneOnco. These rights included global development and commercial rights outside Greater China for both AXN-2510 and AXN-27M. Axion retains a limited license to complete the wind-down of its clinical development activities.
The announcement was made in a press release statement from the Dallas-based biopharmaceutical company. Instil Bio focuses on developing novel therapies through its various subsidiaries and partnerships.
The termination affects the collaboration that had given Axion Bio rights to develop and commercialize the drug candidates in markets outside of Greater China. ImmuneOnco, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, will now regain full control over these assets.
No specific reasons were provided in the announcement for the decision to discontinue development of AXN-2510 or details about the timeline for winding down clinical activities.
