Motricity (MOTR) Could See Boost from AT&T/T-Mobile Deal - Cramer (T)

March 23, 2011 9:39 AM EDT
Motricity (Nasdaq: MOTR) founder and CEO Ryan Wuerch recently spoke with Jim Cramer, saying recent activity in the telecom market will create a boon for the company.

Wuerch is pumped about the AT&T (NYSE: T) and T-Mobile deal. AT&T has been a strong customer of Motricity for eight years, Wuerch said, and the deal could bring in an additional 34 million subscribers to Motricity.

Wuerch explained that the company's technology allows users to access the internet from their mobile devices. He continued that Motricity basically serves as the gateway for users to access social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Motricity also has a presence in mobile advertising and marketing.

International growth has additional potential for Motricity, with Wuerch saying emerging markets hold roughly 2.5 billion new users. Many of the potential emerging market customers utilize their mobile devices as a primary source of access to the Internet.

Cramer agrees, saying that Motricity has a 29 percent growth rate and should trade higher than its 14x multiple.

Shares of Motricity are trading 7% pre-market today.
