Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALXN) is raising eyebrows today as shares are seeing notable weakness. The stock is down 3.6% mid-day although there is no news to explain the action.
ALXN is not the only large biotech seeing weakness, although it is under-performing the group. Biogen Idec (Nasdaq: BIIB) is down 2.8%, Gilead Sciences (Nasdaq: GILD) is down 2%, Amgen Inc. (Nasdaq: AMGN) is down 1.9%, Celgene Corporation (Nasdaq: CELG) is down 1.8%. Sector ETF iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology In (NYSE: IBB) is down 1.7%.
