Thomasville Bancshares reports 18% earnings increase, approves dividend
Thomasville Bancshares Inc. (OTCID: THVB) reported net income of $12.4 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026, an 18% increase from $10.5 million in the same period last year. The parent company of Thomasville National Bank posted earnings per share of $1.96 basic and $1.86 diluted.
The company's board approved a cash dividend of $1.50 per share, payable July 2, 2026, to shareholders of record as of June 12, 2026. The board also authorized a stock repurchase program allowing the company to buy back up to $5 million of outstanding common stock through January 2027.
Total assets reached $2.095 billion, up $196 million from the prior year period. Loans grew $196 million to $1.788 billion, representing 12% year-over-year growth, while deposits increased $148 million to $1.790 billion, a 9% annual increase.
Pre-tax pre-provision income totaled $16.9 million, up $2.4 million or 16% from the first quarter of 2025. The company reported return on average assets of 2.44% and return on average tangible equity of 24.66%. Regulatory capital stood at $209 million, representing 10.14% of assets.
TNB Financial Services, the company's trust and investment division, manages client assets exceeding $5.4 billion. The company has returned $68 million in dividends to shareholders since 2021 and over $134 million throughout its history.
The stock repurchase program will be conducted in accordance with applicable securities laws through open market or privately negotiated transactions. The timing and amount of repurchases will depend on factors including share price, regulatory limitations and market conditions.
