Riverview Bancorp launches $4M stock repurchase program

August 26, 2026 4:38 PM EDT

Riverview Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq GSM: RVSB) announced that its Board of Directors approved a $4.0 million stock repurchase program on August 20, 2026.

According to a press release, the Vancouver, Washington-based company may repurchase shares of its common stock in the open market at prevailing market prices or through privately negotiated transactions. The program will remain in effect until completion or 12 months after its effective date, subject to market conditions.

The Board also authorized management to enter into a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The plan would allow Riverview Bancorp to execute trades during periods when insider trading laws or company-imposed blackout periods would otherwise restrict such activity.

"We are pleased to announce our common stock repurchase authorization as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering long-term value for Riverview shareholders," said Nicole Sherman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "This action reflects the Board's confidence in the Company's financial strength, disciplined capital management and future opportunities."

The company noted there is no guarantee as to how many shares may ultimately be repurchased, and the program may be suspended or discontinued at any time. Riverview Bancorp reported total assets of $1.47 billion as of June 30, 2026, and operates 17 branches through its subsidiary, Riverview Bank.
