ProCap Financial repurchases 196,043 shares, retires 3% of stock
ProCap Financial Inc. (NASDAQ: BRR) repurchased 196,043 shares of its common stock on March 3, according to a company statement. The financial services firm said it has retired more than 3% of its outstanding common stock since launching its share repurchase program.
The company, which describes itself as a publicly traded agentic finance firm, conducted the share buyback in the open market. ProCap Financial stated that the discount between its stock price and net asset value has been reduced by nearly half through the repurchase activity.
"We have already retired more than 3% of the Company's outstanding stock and continue to vacuum up shares as fast as we are allowed," said Anthony Pompliano, Chairman and CEO of ProCap Financial. "Our plan has been to repurchase as much stock as possible at a significant discount to NAV."
Founded in 2025, ProCap Financial raised more than $750 million from investors and trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol BRR. The company stated it remains committed to continuing share repurchases at what it considers a significant discount to net asset value.
