National Beverage begins stock buyback amid market challenges

October 30, 2025 11:23 AM EDT

National Beverage Corp. (NASDAQ: FIZZ) has commenced open market purchases of its common stock under a previously announced share buyback program, the company said in a statement.

The Fort Lauderdale-based beverage company cited several market pressures affecting the consumer retail and beverage sector, including geopolitical factors, government shutdown impacts, SNAP program funding issues, tariffs, and reduced consumer purchasing.

"Our Company remains fundamentally strong and continues to generate superior cash flows," a company spokesperson stated. The company characterized these market conditions as temporary headwinds.

National Beverage indicated it believes current trading prices do not reflect the company's underlying value. The company stated it maintains a strong balance sheet and cash flow position that enables capital deployment opportunities.

The company described itself as a leader in the domestic sparkling water category and said it remains focused on growing volume and revenue while expanding its consumer franchises. National Beverage will provide additional details about the stock buyback program at a later time.

The announcement comes as the company navigates what it describes as challenging market conditions affecting the broader consumer goods sector.
