Hyperion DeFi raises FY26 guidance, launches $20M buyback

Hyperion DeFi, Inc. (NASDAQ: HYPD) raised its full-year 2026 financial guidance and announced a $20 million share repurchase program, according to a company press release issued Sept. 8, 2026.

The Dallas-based decentralized finance company now anticipates adjusted gross profit of $7 million to $8 million for fiscal year 2026, up from prior guidance of $5 million to $7 million. The company also moved up its timeline for adjusted net operating cash flow to turn positive, now targeting the third quarter of 2026 rather than by year-end. Core operating earnings are also expected to turn positive in Q3 2026.

For Q3 2026, the company projects adjusted gross profit of $2.0 million to $2.5 million and operating expenses excluding stock-based compensation of $2.0 million to $2.25 million.

Historical figures show adjusted gross profit rising from $439,386 in Q3 2025 to $1.15 million in Q2 2026, while core operating losses narrowed from $3.88 million to $1.19 million over the same period. All figures are unaudited.

The board of directors authorized a stock repurchase program of up to $20 million of the company's outstanding common stock, par value $0.0001 per share, valid for up to 12 months. Repurchases may be conducted through open market purchases, privately negotiated transactions, or block trades, subject to market conditions and applicable legal requirements. The company noted there is no guarantee as to the number of shares that will be repurchased, and the program may be extended, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

"HYPD common shares have recently traded at a 20% to 30% discount to our net assets, which we believe creates an attractive opportunity to deploy capital into share repurchases for the benefit of HYPD common shareholders," said Hyunsu Jung, CEO of Hyperion DeFi.

The company describes itself as operating on the Hyperliquid blockchain, a layer-one network focused on high-frequency trading with on-chain perpetual futures and spot order books.
