HomeTrust Bancshares completes buyback, authorizes new program

HomeTrust Bancshares Inc. (NYSE: HTB) completed its stock repurchase program and authorized a new buyback initiative, the company announced Monday.



The Asheville, North Carolina-based bank holding company finished its 5% stock repurchase program that began in March 2022. The company bought back 806,000 shares at an average price of $31.84 per share during the program.



HomeTrust's board of directors authorized the repurchase of up to 870,000 additional shares of common stock, representing approximately 5% of currently outstanding shares. The company stated shares may be purchased in open market transactions or through privately negotiated deals depending on market conditions.



HomeTrust Bancshares serves as the holding company for HomeTrust Bank, which operates more than 30 locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Georgia. The company reported total assets of $4.6 billion as of September 30, 2025.
