GitLab reports 26% revenue growth, authorizes $400M buyback program

GitLab Inc. (NASDAQ: GTLB) reported fourth quarter revenue of $260.4 million, representing a 23% increase year-over-year, according to financial results released for the period ended January 31, 2026.



The DevSecOps platform company posted full-year fiscal 2026 revenue of $955.2 million, up 26% from the previous year. The company achieved over $1 billion in annual recurring revenue during the fiscal year.



For the fourth quarter, GitLab reported a GAAP operating margin of negative 2% and a non-GAAP operating margin of 21%. Full-year GAAP operating margin was negative 7%, while non-GAAP operating margin reached 17%.



The company generated operating cash flow of $45.8 million in the fourth quarter and $232.9 million for the full year. Non-GAAP adjusted free cash flow totaled $41.8 million for the quarter and $219.6 million annually.



GitLab's board of directors authorized a new $400 million share repurchase program. Chief Financial Officer Jessica Ross stated the authorization "reflects confidence in the business and our commitment to delivering shareholder value."



The company reported customer growth across revenue tiers. Customers with more than $5,000 in annual recurring revenue reached 10,682, an 8% year-over-year increase. Those with more than $100,000 grew 18% to 1,456 customers, while customers exceeding $1 million increased 26% to 155.



GitLab's dollar-based net retention rate was 118% for the quarter. Total remaining performance obligations grew 20% year-over-year to $1.1 billion.



The company launched its GitLab Duo Agent Platform during the period and introduced GitLab Credits, a usage-based pricing model for the platform's capabilities.
