FirstCash Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: FCFS) announced that its board of directors has increased the company's share repurchase authorization by $200 million, bringing the total authorization to $350 million.

Under the existing repurchase program, authorized in July 2026, FirstCash had repurchased 644,000 shares at an average price of $199.46 per share, for an aggregate purchase price of $128 million. Following the increase, the company said it has $222 million in remaining authorization as of the announcement date.

"We have meaningfully increased our share repurchase authorization to $350 million to opportunistically return value to shareholders as we see a growing disconnect between our current valuation and FirstCash's progress toward our long-term growth objectives," said Rick Wessel, FirstCash's CEO.

Wessel noted that over the past 25 years, the company has repurchased approximately 27 million shares at an aggregate cost of $1.7 billion, or an average price of $64 per share. He added that the company has averaged $139 million in annual share repurchases over the last ten years and has increased its cash dividend every year since initiating the dividend program in 2016.

Shares may be purchased through open market transactions, block or privately negotiated transactions, or pursuant to a trading plan under Rule 10b5-1 and Rule 10b-18 of the Exchange Act. No time limit was set for completion of the repurchases, and the program may be suspended or discontinued at any time.

FirstCash operates more than 3,300 pawn stores across the U.S., Latin America, and the U.K.
