Fed Rejects MetLife's (MET) Plans to Resume Buyback, Raise Dividend

Shares of MetLife (NYSE: MET) are ticking lower after hours Tuesday following news the Fed rejected the company's plan seeking approval to resume its stock repurchase program, as well as raise its quarterly dividend.

The Fed said these capital actions first need to be tested under a "revised scenario."

After closing at $32.83, the stock last traded at $32.40.
