Ericsson repurchases about 3 million shares for SEK 290 million
Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson repurchased 2,999,360 Class B shares on Nasdaq Stockholm between August 17 and August 21, 2026, at a weighted average price of SEK 96.70 per share, for a total of SEK 290,029,234.70, according to a company statement.
The transactions were carried out by Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE on Ericsson's behalf as part of a share buyback program announced April 16, 2026. The program allows for repurchases of up to SEK 15,000,000,000 and runs from April 23, 2026, through March 31, 2027, at the latest.
Following the repurchases, Ericsson holds 100,668,676 Class B treasury shares. The company's total share count stands at 3,371,351,735, comprising 261,755,983 Class A shares and 3,109,595,752 Class B shares.
The board of directors intends to propose at the 2027 Annual General Meeting that the repurchased shares, excluding those used to fulfill obligations under share-related incentive programs, be cancelled.
The buyback program is being conducted in accordance with EU Market Abuse Regulation No. 596/2014 and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052, known as the Safe Harbour Regulation.
