Ericsson repurchases 2.7 million shares for SEK 309 million
Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson repurchased 2.7 million Class B shares for a total value of SEK 309 million during the period from June 8 to June 12, 2026, according to a company statement.
The Swedish telecommunications equipment manufacturer bought shares at a weighted average price of SEK 114.40 per share. Daily repurchase volumes ranged from 400,000 to 600,000 shares, with prices varying between SEK 111.86 and SEK 119.02.
These repurchases form part of Ericsson's share buyback program of up to SEK 15 billion announced on April 16, 2026. The program runs from April 23, 2026, through March 31, 2027.
All transactions were executed on Nasdaq Stockholm by Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE on behalf of Ericsson. The buyback program operates under European Union market abuse regulations.
Following these repurchases, Ericsson holds 53,076,778 Class B treasury shares. The company has a total of 3,371,351,735 shares outstanding, consisting of 261,755,983 Class A shares and 3,109,595,752 Class B shares.
The Board of Directors intends to propose at the 2027 Annual General Meeting that repurchased shares, except those used for share-related incentive programs, be cancelled.
