Equitable Holdings approves $1 billion share buyback, declares dividends

Equitable Holdings Inc. (NYSE: EQH) announced its board of directors approved an additional $1 billion share repurchase authorization and declared quarterly dividends on common and preferred stock.
The company may purchase shares through various methods including open market transactions, privately negotiated transactions, forward transactions, derivative transactions, accelerated repurchase transactions, or tender offers. The board retains authority to terminate, increase, or decrease the authorization at any time.
The board declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.27 per share of common stock, payable March 11, 2026, to shareholders of record as of March 4, 2026.
For preferred stockholders, the company declared a quarterly dividend of $328.125 per share on Series A 5.25% Non-Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock (NYSE: EQH PR A). Holders of depositary shares, which represent a 1/1,000th interest in a preferred share, will receive $0.328125 per depositary share.
The board also declared a quarterly dividend of $268.750 per share on Series C 4.30% Non-Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock (NYSE: EQH PR C). Depositary shareholders will receive $0.26875 per depositary share. Both preferred stock dividends are payable March 15, 2026, to holders of record as of March 4, 2026.
