DuPont raises 2025 guidance, announces $2 billion share buyback plan

DuPont (NYSE: DD) reported third-quarter net sales of $3.1 billion, a 7% increase from the prior year, according to the company's earnings statement. The chemical manufacturer exceeded its third-quarter guidance and raised its full-year 2025 operating EBITDA guidance to $1.6 billion.
The company posted GAAP earnings per share from continuing operations of $0.70 for the quarter, compared to $1.06 in the same period last year. Adjusted earnings per share remained flat at $1.09. Operating EBITDA reached $840 million, up 6% from $791 million in the prior year quarter.
DuPont's board approved a new share repurchase authorization of up to $2 billion and plans to launch a $500 million accelerated share repurchase program. The company also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share, payable December 15 to shareholders of record on November 28.
The IndustrialsCo segment generated net sales of $1.8 billion, up 5% year-over-year, with 4% organic growth. The ElectronicsCo segment reported net sales of $1.3 billion, an 11% increase with 10% organic growth driven by demand in AI technology applications and advanced semiconductor nodes.
Cash provided by operating activities from continuing operations totaled $591 million for the quarter. The company reported transaction-adjusted free cash flow of $576 million and a conversion rate of 126%.
For the nine-month period, DuPont posted net sales of $8.7 billion, up 6% from the previous year. The company recently completed the separation of its electronics business into Qnity Electronics and has a pending divestiture of its aramids business to TJC LP for approximately $1.2 billion plus additional considerations.
