Badger Meter Inc. (NYSE: BMI) announced its board of directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.40 per share, payable December 5, 2025, to shareholders of record on November 21, 2025.
The board also approved a new share repurchase authorization for up to $75 million of the company's outstanding common stock through November 30, 2028. This new authorization replaces the existing program approved in February 2023 that was set to expire in February 2026.
Under the previous authorization, Badger Meter purchased 82,448 shares of its common stock for approximately $15 million during the fourth quarter of 2025.
The new share repurchase program allows the company to buy shares in the open market, through privately negotiated transactions, or other methods in accordance with securities laws. The timing, frequency and amount of share repurchases will depend on capital allocation priorities, market conditions, share price and trading volume.
The company may extend, modify, suspend or discontinue the program at any time and is not obligated to execute any specific dollar amount or number of shares.
Kenneth C. Bockhorst, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said the company's balance sheet and cash flow generation position it to capitalize on industry trends. He noted that returning capital to shareholders through dividend growth has been a component of total shareholder return for 33 consecutive years.
Milwaukee-based Badger Meter provides water management solutions and has operated for more than a century in water technology.
