Arch Capital Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: ACGL) announced that its board of directors has increased the authorization for its share repurchase program by $2 billion. The company can execute these repurchases through open market or privately negotiated transactions.
Following the increased authorization and accounting for recent share repurchases during the third quarter of 2025, approximately $2.3 billion remains available under the program as of September 4, 2025. The timing and amount of future repurchase transactions will depend on market conditions and corporate and regulatory considerations.
"The increased authorization provides management flexibility in deploying excess capital generated by our underwriting operations," said CEO Nicolas Papadopoulo. "We have always believed that capital allocation is a critical role of management, and this authorization allows us the opportunity to deliver additional shareholder value."
Arch Capital Group is a Bermuda-based company with approximately $25.8 billion in capital as of June 30, 2025. The company provides insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance globally through its subsidiaries and is part of the S&P 500 Index.
The information is based on a company press release.
