Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

In February 2025, Samuel J. Nicita, Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer, notified the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (the Bank) that he intends to retire from the Bank, although he had not yet determined an official date for his retirement. The Bank disclosed Mr. Nicita’s notification of his intention to retire in its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2024.

On July 28, 2025, Kevin Solchenberger joined the Bank as its new Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer. To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Nicita will stay with the Bank in a senior advisor role until his retirement date, which is currently expected during the first quarter of 2026.
