Jim Cramer Wants U.S. to Release 'Mad Money'... 'They Know Nothing'

On Thursday, CNBC's Jim Cramer called for a $500 billion government bailout due to the coronavirus outbreak, with the U.S. Treasury issuing bonds at the current ultra-low interest rates to pay for it. Cramer said the government should suspend all taxation during the crisis.
Commenting on the government's response to the virus, Cramer said: "they know nothing".
He also said more companies should tap their credit revolvers and there should not be a stigma attached to it. In addition, he thinks the fed should be allowed to buy corporate bonds.
Famously, Cramer had a "they know nothing" rant in 2007 during the credit crisis.
Following today's rant, Cramer took an important call while still on the air. While he didn't say who called, after the call, he said he thinks the government will enact some of the measures he discussed, Speculation suggested he could have taken a call from National Economic Council Larry Kudlow, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, or even President Trump.
