Worker injured in explosion at Venezuela gas facility dies

May 19 (Reuters) - ‌One ​of ​the workers injured in a ‌large explosion and fire ⁠at a gas processing ‌facility in Venezuela's ‌Lake Maracaibo on Friday died on Tuesday, ​according to five sources familiar with ⁠the matter.

The worker died in the ​morning at a hospital in Maracaibo, the ​capital of ‌the oil-rich state of Zulia, the ⁠sources said.

The fire injured six workers and ⁠caused damage to the plant. ​State-run oil company PDVSA and the Ministry of Information ‌didn't immediately respond to a request ‌for comment ⁠regarding the ‌deceased worker.
