WASHINGTON, Dec ⁠26 (Reuters) - ⁠White ‍House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on ‍Friday that she is expecting ​a second child, a girl ​due in May.

Leavitt, 28, announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post, showing ​off the baby bump in a picture ​beside a Christmas tree. The aide to ‌U.S. President Donald Trump is the youngest person to ​hold her ⁠position.

"My husband and I are thrilled to grow ‌our family and can’t wait to watch our ‌son become a big brother," she ‌said. "I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and our Chief ‍of Staff Susie Wiles for their support, and ⁠for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House."
