(Reuters) - Standard Chartered on Monday lost a bid to cut from a London lawsuit allegations that it broke U.S. sanctions against Iran in a more widespread way than it has previously admitted.
More than 200 investors are suing Standard Chartered at London's High Court for allegedly untrue statements about its sanctions non-compliance between 2007 and 2019.

BELGRADE (Reuters) - Serbia's parliament speaker and former prime minister Ana Brnabic on Monday sought a debate and approval in the assembly for a contested Rio Tinto lithium project in the Balkan country.
Regarded as a critical material by the EU and the United States, lithium is used in batteries for EVs and mobile devices.

(Reuters) - North American packaged water companies Primo Water Corp and BlueTriton Brands said on Monday they would merge in an all-stock deal.
The companies said Primo Water's shareholders would likely own 43% of the combined firm upon completion of the deal, while BlueTriton are expected to own 57%.
Primo Water intends to pay a special dividend of up to $133 million ($0.82/share) to its shareholders prior to closing.

(Reuters) - LandBridge, an acquirer of oil-rich lands in the Permian Basin, said on Monday it was looking to raise up to $319 million in its initial public offering in the United States.
The company said it plans to sell 14.5 million shares at a price between $19 and $22 each.
Goldman Sachs and Barclays are the lead underwriters for the IPO.

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - The leadership of German metalworkers' union IG Metall on Monday advised its members to demand 7% higher wages in the upcoming collective bargaining round, well above the current inflation rate.
IG Metall, Germany's largest industrial union, said in a statement that regional panels will decide on the union's official wage demands on Friday.
