Wall St subdued at open as Fed rate cut decision nears

Dec 9 (Reuters) - ⁠Wall ⁠Street's ‍main stock indexes were subdued ‍at the open on ​Tuesday as investors ​awaited the Federal Reserve's policy decision, while Nvidia shares were ​whipsawed by contrasting news around exports ​of advanced AI chips to ‌China.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 14.8 ​points, or ⁠0.03%, at the open to 47,724.52. ‌The S&P 500 fell 5.9 points, ‌or 0.09%, at the open ‌to 6,840.61​, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 41.3 points, ‍or 0.18%, to 23,504.614 at ⁠the opening bell.
