Wall St opens lower after Trump's comments dent Iran resolution hopes

April 2 (Reuters) - ‌Wall ​Street's ​main indexes opened lower on ‌Thursday, in the last ⁠session of a ‌holiday-truncated week, after President ‌Donald Trump signaled more aggressive attacks ​on Iran, dampening expectations for a ⁠swift end to the Middle ​East conflict.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell ​96.4 points, ‌or 0.21%, at the open to ⁠46,469.36. The S&P 500 fell 62.7 ⁠points, or 0.95%, at the ​open to 6,512.61, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 368.4 ‌points, or 1.69%, to 21,472.523 ‌at the opening ⁠bell.
