Wall St opens higher after best month in years

May ‌1 (Reuters) - Wall ​Street's ​main indexes opened higher ‌on Friday, building ⁠on the impetus ‌from their biggest ‌monthly rise in years as confidence ​in strong earnings overshadowed oil ⁠risks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ​rose 180.4 points, or 0.36%, at ​the open ‌to 49,832.57. The S&P 500 ⁠rose 25.5 points, or 0.35%, ⁠at the open to ​7,234.54, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 85.5 points, ‌or 0.34%, to 24,977.79.
