Wall St gains after stronger-than-expected jobs report

Feb ‌11 (Reuters) - Wall ​Street's ​main indexes opened ‌higher on Wednesday following ⁠a stronger-than-expected ‌jobs data that ‌pointed to a resilient U.S. ​economy, while the unemployment ⁠rate ticked lower for January.

The ​Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 55.0 ​points, or ‌0.11%, to 50,243.15 at ⁠the open. The S&P 500 ⁠rose 34.7 points, ​or 0.50%, to 6,976.48, while the Nasdaq ‌Composite rose 175.8 points, or ‌0.76%, ⁠to 23,278.29.
