TAIPEI (Reuters) -Voters in Taiwan were casting ballots on Saturday on whether to recall one-fifth of the island's parliament, all from the major opposition party, in a move supporters hope will send a message to China and opponents say is an assault on democracy.

Two Southwest flight attendants injured after jet moved to avoid another aircraft Jul 25, 2025 07:06PM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Two flight attendants on a Southwest Airlines flight departing from Burbank, California, were injured and being treated on Friday after pilots took evasive action to avoid another aircraft, the airline said.

Southwest Flight 1496 sharply descended nearly 500 feet, according to flight tracking websites.

FDA probes death of patient on Sarepta's Elevidys, partner Roche says death unrelated to therapy Jul 25, 2025 06:57PM

(Reuters) -The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on Friday it was investigating the death of an eight-year-old boy who received Sarepta Therapeutics' muscular disorder gene therapy Elevidys.

The death occurred on June 7, the agency said, sending shares of the company down more than 3% in extended trading.
