US airports implore Congress to end TSA funding standoff

March 23 (Reuters) - ‌More ​than ​100 airport leaders on ‌Monday urged Congress to end ⁠a funding standoff ‌that has forced ‌50,000 Transportation Security Administration officers to go ​unpaid and has led to ⁠massive security lines.

The CEOs of ​Airports Council International – North America and American ​Association of ‌Airport Executives joined by more than ⁠100 airport leaders in a letter ⁠urged a end to the ​impasse, citing concerns "about the growing operational disruptions at ‌airports... The impacts of the shutdown ‌are significant, ⁠growing, and ‌potentially ​long-lasting."
