US State Department expands visa restriction policy in Western Hemisphere

WASHINGTON, ‌April 16 (Reuters) - ​The ​U.S. State Department said ‌on Thursday it ⁠was expanding its ‌visa restriction policy ‌in the Western Hemisphere region and ​imposed restrictions on 26 individuals.

The ⁠policy targets individuals working on ​behalf of U.S. adversaries to undermine ​American interests, ‌the State Department said in ⁠a statement.

"We have taken steps ⁠to impose visa restrictions ​on 26 individuals across our hemisphere who have ‌engaged in these activities," it ‌said.
