US House passes temporary funding bill to end Homeland Security shutdown

March ‌27 (Reuters) - ​The ​U.S. ‌House of Representatives ⁠late ‌on Friday passed ‌legislation providing funding ​for the ⁠Department of ​Homeland Security through May 22.

It ​faces ‌probable defeat ⁠in the ⁠Senate, however, where ​Democrats are expected to ‌oppose it.
