UK police investigate arson at former synagogue in London

LONDON, May ‌5 (Reuters) - ​British ​counter terrorism police are investigating ‌an arson incident at ⁠a former synagogue ‌in east London, ‌authorities said on Tuesday, following a series ​of arson attacks on Jewish ⁠targets in recent weeks.

Police were called ​to reports of a fire at the ​former synagogue ‌earlier in the day, according ⁠to the statement. Police added that minor ⁠damage was caused to ​a set of gates and a lock at the ‌front of the building, and ‌no reports of ⁠any persons ‌injured.
