UK PM welcomes Carney's 'leadership on international issues'

LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer congratulated Mark Carney on his victory in the Canadian election, saying he welcomed his leadership on international issues and expected to keep working closely with him on defence and other matters.
"I welcome your leadership on international issues, and I know we will continue to work closely on defence, security, trade and investment," Starmer said in a statement on Tuesday.
