U.S. top security adviser to visit Beijing this week: White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice will travel to Beijing later this week to discuss a range of issues with Chinese officials, the White House said on Tuesday.

Rice will travel to China Aug. 28 and 29, it said in a statement. Her trip comes ahead of President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping's U.S. meeting next month.
