Feb ⁠9 (Reuters) - The ⁠U.S. ‍Department of Health ‍and Human Services is ​expected to ​cut about $600 million in public health grants to California, ​Minnesota, Illinois and Colorado ​because they do not align ‌with the White House's priorities, Bloomberg ​News reported ⁠on Monday, citing people ‌familiar with the matter.

Reuters could ‌not verify the report. ‌The HHS did not immediately respond to ‍Reuters' request for comment.

US says it struck vessel in eastern Pacific, killing two Feb 9, 2026 07:58PM

Feb ⁠9 (Reuters) - The ⁠U.S. ‍military on Monday ‍said it launched a ​strike on a ​vessel in the eastern Pacific, killing two people and ​leaving one survivor, the ​latest such incident.

President Donald Trump's ‌administration has touted its success in ​recent weeks ⁠at taking out suspected drug ‌trafficking vessels.

The military said in ‌a post on X ‌that the vessel was "engaged in narco-trafficking operations."

SYDNEY, Feb 10 (Reuters) - A ⁠measure of ⁠Australian ‍business conditions dipped slightly in January as sales and profits slowed a little, a survey ‍showed on Tuesday, while cost pressures were the lowest ​since 2021 in a hopeful sign for future inflation.
