SISAKET, Thailand (Reuters) -When the Thai and Cambodian armies began shelling at their contested border on Thursday, Komsan Prachan thought his family was far enough away from the fighting to be safe.

Syria, Israel agree to further talks on de-escalating conflict, Ekhbariya TV reports Jul 26, 2025 09:27AM

(Reuters) -Syrian and Israeli officials agreed to meet again after no final accord was reached in U.S.-mediated talks in Paris on de-escalating the conflict in southern Syria, state-run Ekhbariya TV reported on Saturday, citing a diplomatic source.

The source described the dialogue as "honest and responsible", in the first confirmation from the Syrian side that talks had taken place.

Indian firm says it shipped non-military explosives to Russia Jul 26, 2025 08:50AM

NEW DELHI (Reuters) -An Indian firm that shipped $1.4 million worth of an explosive compound with military uses to Russia in December said on Saturday it complies with Indian rules and the substance it had shipped was for civilian industrial purposes.

Fifty-four children swim from Morocco to Spanish enclave Ceuta Jul 26, 2025 08:43AM

MADRID (Reuters) -At least 54 children and about 30 adults swam from Morocco to Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta in rough seas and fog, Spanish television reported on Saturday.

Video footage on Spanish television channel RTVE showed Civil Guard launches making repeated rescue attempts to bring some of the swimmers to safety, while others swam across to the enclave.

Ukraine says its long-range drones hit electronic warfare plant in Russia Jul 26, 2025 08:41AM

KYIV (Reuters) -Ukrainian drones hit a radio and electronic warfare equipment plant in Russia's Stavropol region in an overnight attack on Saturday, an official from the SBU security service told Reuters.
