SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Brazilian telecommunications operator Telefonica Brasil posted on Tuesday a net profit below analysts' expectations, even though it increased by 7.3% in the first quarter from a year earlier.
The firm, which is controlled by Spain's Telefonica, posted an 896 million real ($176.5 million) net profit for the quarter ended in March, while analysts polled by LSEG expected a 1.03 billion real net profit.

(Reuters) - Fast-food chain Panera Bread is phasing out "Charged Sips", its line of caffeinated drinks, a company spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The beverage line has been the subject of multiple lawsuits over the past few months by people who have said the drinks caused health problems, according to various media reports.

(Reuters) - Chilean retailer Falabella on Tuesday posted a net profit for the first quarter, reversing a year-ago loss, boosted by operations in Peru.
The store operator and financial services provider's net profit reached 58.50 billion pesos ($59.55 million) for the January-to-March period.
The result was driven by an operating profit from the retailer's Peru unit, while its units in Chile, Colombia and Brazil trimmed year-ago losses.
