Turkey reviews six online platforms for children's data-processing practices

ISTANBUL, ‌Feb 21 (Reuters) - ​Turkey's ​data protection authority ‌said late on Friday ⁠that it has ‌launched a review ‌into six major social media platforms ​to assess how they ⁠handle children's personal data.

In a ​statement, the Personal Data Protection Authority ​said the ‌move aims to protect children ⁠from potential risks in digital ⁠environments and will examine ​data-processing practices and safety measures on social ‌media platforms TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, ‌YouTube, X ⁠and Discord.
