Trump threatens to sue Fed's Powell, will announce replacement next month

PALM BEACH, Florida, Dec 29 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday renewed his threat to bring a lawsuit against Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell for what he called "gross incompetence" related to Powell's management of renovations at the Fed's Washington headquarters.
Speaking to reporters in Florida, Trump also said he plans to announce his pick for the next chair sometime in January.
